The California Department of Education today released the results of new statewide student tests known as the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP). This is the first time results are available for the assessments which are aligned to California’s new Common Core State Standards (CCSS). Mr. Turner is the current Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services at the Rio School District in Oxnard.

The Ventura County Office of Education (VCOE) has received a $10.2 million grant from the California Department of Education’s Career Pathways Trust program that will fund an unprecedented effort to provide career and technical education to local students.
