Human Resources

The Human Resources Department coordinates and manages certificated and classified personnel activities and risk management/safety functions for VCOE. Another responsibility of the department is credentialing. Electronic fingerprinting services are available for the Substitute Teacher Clearinghouse as well as all other employment licensing needs. The Human Resources Department also coordinates services to districts such as neutral interest-based facilitation, sexual harassment abatement training, administrator evaluation training, credential in-service and other programs and activities that support Ventura County districts and schools.

Sexual Harassment Policy and Complaint Procedure
SUPERINTENDENT POLICY NO. 4219.11

It shall be the policy of the Ventura County Office of Education to take affirmative steps to:


a) Prohibit and discourage any person in the Ventura County Office of Education work or educational setting from sexually harassing any other person including students in the work or educational setting.
b) Provide a harassment-free work and educational environment.
c) Immediately and thoroughly investigate any report of sexual harassment.
d) Provide ongoing education and awareness of the problem of sexual harassment.
e) Provide information about how to pursue claims of sexual harassment.
