Agriculture and Natural Resources

Agriculture is a leading industry in Ventura County. Many middle school programs introduce students to careers in agriculture. These four high schools offer agriculture pathways:

 

Additional Resources

  • Students for Eco-Education & Agriculture (See-Ag) is a valuable resource for Ventura County elementary programs.  See-Ag's mission is educating students and the greater community about the farm origins of our food and agriculture's contribution to our nutritional well-being.
  • An annual California Agriculture in the Classroom conference is held each year in the fall.  This conference is brought to us by the California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom, whose mission is to increase awareness and understanding of agriculture among California's educators and students.

Museum of Ventura County - Agriculture Museum - Located in Santa Paula, the Museum preserves and exhibits the region’s farming and ranching history and explores the present and future of the industry.
