Agriculture and Natural Resources

Agriculture is a leading industry in Ventura County. Many middle school programs introduce students to careers in agriculture. These four high schools offer agriculture pathways:

• Camarillo High School
• Filmore High School
• Santa Paula High School
• Ventura High School

• Students for Eco-Education & Agriculture (See-Ag) is a valuable resource for Ventura County elementary programs.  See-Ag's mission is educating students and the greater community about the farm origins of our food and agriculture's contribution to our nutritional well-being.

• An annual California Agriculture in the Classroom conference is held each year in the fall.  This conference is brought to us by the California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom, whose mission is to increase awareness and understanding of agriculture among California's educators and students.

• Ventura College continues to develop its Agricultural program offerings, with an AS program in Agricultural Business and a multiple certification programs.  These programs are available to both traditional students and working adults.
