Christina Mahone joined the VCOE team in 2021 as the Director of County Program Support and Accountability.
Her previous twenty-two years of experience include serving as a classroom teacher, school counselor, dean of students, and most recently a high school principal.
In all her roles, Christina remains a student-centered educational leader committed to ensuring equity for ALL students.
As Director of County Program Support and Accountability, Christina leads all efforts related to state and federal accountability for VCOE Schools and Programs. This includes development of VCOE’s Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) and oversight of accountability initiatives such as School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA), School Accountability Report Card (SARC), Federal Program Monitoring (FPM), WASC, and all California State Assessments. Christina works collaboratively with both state and local team members to ensure equitable programs for all VCOE students.
