Survey Highlights

• Substance Abuse: The number of Ventura County 11th graders who have used alcohol in their lifetime declined 12% between 2008 and 2014 (see chart below).
• School Safety: 64% of Ventura County 7th and 8th graders feel safe or very safe at school.
• Developmental Assets: White students are much more likely than Hispanic students to report having a caring relationship with an adult at school.
