Teen Mental Health Conference this Saturday in Camarillo
Media coverage is invited this Saturday in Camarillo as the timely and important topic of teen mental health takes center stage. “Let’s Talk About…” will be an opportunity for high school students to learn techniques and access resources to help them improve their psychological wellbeing.
WHAT: Let’s Talk About… - Youth Mental Health Conference
WHEN: Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM
WHERE: Ventura County Office of Education • 5100 Adolfo Road, Camarillo, CA 93012

The keynote speaker at the conference will be Dr. Jaiya John. Dr. John was born into foster care and is an internationally recognized humanitarian, author, speaker, poet, and youth mentor. There will also be breakout sessions on a variety of topics, including:
- Our mind/body/soul
- Suicide Prevention
- People of the Global Majority
- Youth Resources and Support
- Indigenous Healing
- Social Media Safety
- Substance Use
- Safety & Anxiety during trying times
